Oxygen is a key component to a healthy start to your ferment. Other methods of aerating your wort either require exhausting amounts of shaking a carboy, or "fish pump" methods that risk contamination. By using pure oxygen you reduce the amount of time needed to about 1-2 minutes, and limit the possibility of contamination. This kit includes a regulator made to fit the disposable "welding" type tanks commonly available at any hardware store. Also included is a 100% Stainless steel diffuser stone, and 4' of tubing. This stainless steel stone can be boiled for cleaning and sanitizing and has improved durability over other types of diffusers.
